At Shamins, we hand pick all of our diamonds and select them for their beauty and sparkle before their price. Many jewellers will offer lower priced diamonds that are deep or shallow. At Shamins, we reject those diamonds. We also do not promote diamonds that are strong in fluorescence. Many of our competitors not only carry them but do not disclose the fluorescence. We also do not stock clarity enhanced or fracture filled diamonds in our showroom. We also no longer list EGL International Certified Diamonds in our Diamond Database.  We have found an increase in discrepancies in grading standards from those of the GIA.  We strongly urge our customers to be wary of such certificates as most times the diamonds will be misgraded.  

At Shamin's we want you to be extremely happy with your new jewellery. With our unique "WOW" guarantee, if you don't get a compliment on your new jewellery within 30 days, please send it right back to us and we will exchange the setting or the entire piece for another one of your choice. Please make sure the jewellery is in new condition, in its original box, at its original size and with all the documents you received with it. Custom Designed pieces cannot be exchanged.    

Full Satisfaction or Your Money Back

At Shamin's we offer a full money back guarantee within 30 days of purchase. Simply ship the item back to us for a refund. Fill out this return/exchange form and ship using any carrier you desire. Please make sure you insure the item for its full value and that the jewellery is in new condition, in its original box, at its original size and with all the documents you received with it.

Custom Designed and custom ordered pieces cannot be exchanged or returned. We cannot accept merchandise that has been altered or damaged in any way. We will issue a refund for the full cost of the piece, less any extra charges for engraving, special options and shipping charges, which are non-refundable. Shamin is not responsible for loss or damage of return shipments. Please note that if Free Shipping was selected at time of original shipment, there will be a charge of $14.99 to cover the original shipping costs.

If returning for sizing, please include size of the ring you received and the new size you are requesting.

If exchanging, please include description of current ring and ring you would like to exchange it for, along with the SKU number if possible

If returning for a refund, please indicate reason for dissatisfaction. (Please note: Web Specials and special orders are not eligible for refunds.)

For rings that need to be sized or exchanged, additional charges may apply if the ring has been engraved or has a special finish.

Please include any other information that might be needed to process your return.

Sizing and Adjustments

The original sizing is complimentary and we will either size the ring for you when you order or if you prefer you can ship it back to us for sizing within 30 days. All rings will be adjusted down or up, to a maximum of two sizes at no charge to you except for the return shipping. Some rings with invisible settings or custom shanks cannot be sized and must be special ordered in your size.

All Web Specials are final sale and are non returnable.

Our Assurance of Quality

Shamins guarantees that the Precious Metals used in the making of your jewellery, conform in every way with the Precious Metals Marking Act of the Dominion of Canada. The trademark permanently engraved on your purchase is your assurance of fine quality and lasting value. All precious metals are warranted for a period of five years from date of purchase. If, for any reason, your chain or ring breaks and requires soldering, on any one occasion, within a period of five years, Shamins will solder it as a service to you at no charge except return shipping. You must present original documents with your item.

Certificates of Appraisal and Authenticity

All jewellery over $1000 ships with a Certificate of Authenticity and Appraisal ensuring you of the value of your investment. The document is also necessary if you travel abroad and for insurance replacement in case there is a loss or theft.

In Case of Loss or Theft

We hope you never lose your jewellery due to loss or theft. However, in case you do, we will make the process as easy for you as possible. We have an Insurance Replacement Office that will deal directly with your insurance company to ensure a stress free replacement of your fine jewellery.

Web Errors

We do our best to check for errors. However, in the case that a ring has been mispriced (through a typographical error), or mis-represented with the wrong picture, we will notify you and inform you of the actual price the ring should have been marked.
